Vancouver Fashion Week and LaSalle College International Partner Up

Vancouver, Monday 28, 2011 - Canada's most respected fashion school, LaSalle College International, comes together with Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) to celebrate unique talent. This is a perfect occasion for Vancouverites to admire industry talent and get a sneak-peek of upcoming designers trained at LaSalle.

Particular to the college is the multicultural edge students bring to their designs. Instructed by teachers who are experienced and active in the field, students are prepared to face the realities of the industry and have opportunities to meet and work with industry players within the college curriculum.

Thanks to this collaboration, LaSalle students get to be at the heart of the action where top designers, buyers, and editors, and other industry professionals mingle and network.

LaSalle is part of the LaSalle International Network which encompasses over 19 campuses across the globe, including one in Montreal, which originated the expansion of the institution 52 years ago by building its reputation in the fashion industry.

Now, both Montreal and Vancouver campuses express a true commitment to the local and international fashion industry by actively engaging their students throughout fashion weeks in each of these Canadian cities, and also through the Fondation de la mode de Montreal, which celebrates this year, its 22nd edition.

Indeed, LaSalle founded this above-mentioned organization in order to award higher-learning bursaries to Quebec students that best distinguish themselves in the creative world of fashion. Earch year, over 1,300 top fashion gurus reunite around this promising talent to discover the latest trends through their garments; a unique opportunity for LaSalle students.

The fashion show will be held at The Empire Landmark Hotel on April 14th at 6 p.m.
